A Walk to Bempton Cliffs - 4th August 2020

Meadow Pipit

A later walk than of late emphasising more "off piste" images than those on the cliffs (although some are included). A little bit more diversification as well! Slightly cooler than of late, but bright and a moderate south westerly blow.

A very obliging Meadow Pipit

"You've been framed!"

A rather tatty Yellowhammer!

A distant and heavily cropped Yellow Wagtail

Linnet's can often be tricky to capture, less frequently they do oblige!

Down on the cliff ledges the sound and sight of Gannets and Kittiwakes now dominate. No Razorbills, only a small number of Guillemots and Puffins in flight and on the sea.

Gannet Life

A Fulmar chick

Billy (or should it be Gilly?) no mates!

One of the things that really gets me angry is unsocial hogging on viewpoints. Here is a classic example......words had to be said!

Who can resist a poppy or two?

And finally, a little diversification....

  1. Haha you tell him mate. Bet he was shocked someone told him what’s what!

  2. They probably do the same in hides! Perhaps they can't see what they are doing? Perhaps they don't care? Game on - beware the hoggers!!!
