Cleveland Way, Holbeck - 2nd May 2019

Willow Warbler

Thursday is my normal day for a wander around the Scarborough area after dropping Heather off at the Indoor Market. Pastures new today with a walk along the Cleveland Way from Holbeck car park. Spotting a mobile catering van in the car park, I was looking forward to a bacon roll on my return. When I got back, I was saddened to learn that they are unable to serve hot food due to a complaint from a local resident who had stated the smell of bacon infiltrates his living room! Holbeck is normally associated with Mediterranean Gulls, but today I concentrated on the passerines, some of which showed very well!

Greenfinch

Willow Warbler

Bullfinch

Blackcap (male)

Unfortunately, I was unable to lock on to Common Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat and Chiffchaff.
