Bempton Garden Insects - 17th September 2024

Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly

It has not been a good year for insects, in particular Butterflies, with few being seen in gardens. Today, we had some good sunny periods with increasing temperatures and out they come! Not large numbers, but the most together at the same time. Best of the day was a moth, a Humming Bird Hawk Moth, my first for the year, sadly disappearing before I could get my camera on it.
