Bempton Cliffs Walk (Birds) - 17th August 2023

Year 3 Immature Gannet

A walk to Bempton Cliffs this morning, bright, sunny and mild but increasing cloud. Bird wise it was quiet. The cliffs are dominated by Gannets, with reducing numbers of Kittiwakes and Fulmars. All of the Auks (Guillemots, Razorbills and Puffins) have now departed.

Gannets with Gugas of varying age (the darker the Guga, the older they are)

Always something to squabble about!

Gannets

Fulmar Chick

Linnet

Yellowhammer

Moorhen on a mission!
