Aspects of Bridlington Harbour & Bay (Birds) - 12th August 2023

Purple Sandpiper

A mild bright morning, and being low tide, I decided to have a look at the bird life in and around Bridlington Harbour.

Best birds were the returning Purple Sandpipers, at least six birds, and my first of the "autumn"!

On recent visits, there have been hundreds of Razorbills, many feeding their juvenile. Today, no sign of Razorbills, but have been replaced by Guillemots but in smaller numbers

Oystercatcher

Turnstones

Redshanks

Great Black Backed Gulls

Herring Gulls

Cormorant

Mallards

All images taken with Sony RX10 Mk4.

Thank you for looking.
