Thornwick Pool, Flamborough - 15th August 2022

Greenshank

Not really doing a lot of bird watching at the moment, Heather and myself decided to pay a quick visit to Thornwick Pool, Flamborough, to increase our year list with three birds - Green Sandpiper (5), Ruff (1 juv) and  Greenshank (2). We arrived at the hide just as the "mist rolled in from the sea" (cue song!). Not the best of lighting but three year ticks! Supporting cast of three Dunlin and one Snipe.

Maybe, I will become a birder again?

All images taken on bean bag with Canon 7D Mk2 and 400mm 5.6 prime lens, not assisted by the "mist rolling in from the sea......" 😇
