Bempton Cliffs Walk (Some of the Birds) - 12th August 2022

Kittiwake "Tarrock"

A very warm start to the day with early mist, a golden sunrise and ultimately, golden birds! The cliffs held Gannets, Herring Gulls, Kittiwakes and Fulmars all brilliantly illuminated with the golden glow. Elsewhere, several juvenile Sedge Warblers flitted the grassland, Willow Warblers and Chiffchaffs moved through the hedgerows on the reserve and down Cliff Lane. I am informed that the Red Tailed Shrike is still in residence but still no news of the Black Browed Albatross.
