New Years Day Birding Around Scarborough - 1st January 2022

Cormorant with Breakfast!

We headed over to Scarborough this morning to start off our 2022 bird list. Certainly glad we went early as by lunchtime it was far to busy and nowhere to park! Starting at the harbour, then heading to Scalby Mills and a walk to Peasholm Park and back was busy but doable. Then it went downhill! Headed into Scarborough for fish and chips but couldn't park, so He3ather had to jump out while I found somewhere illegal to wait. Decided to head up to Holbeck to eat them, but again no spaces to park. Ended up eating them on Morrisons car park!

The biggest surprise was finding a Dipper on the boating lake!

Always a pleasure to see Bullfinches

Into Peasholm Park to be entertained by a Cormorant fighting its breakfast
