At One With All Nature

Pre-sunrise, Bempton Cliffs

Well, storm Christoph certainly made its presence felt over the last three days! It blew away any motivation to get out and enjoy nature and I limited my exercise to walks in the village. I was, however, beginning to feel like a caged tiger, resigned to sitting on the sofa watching the delights of day time TV! It was a much better forecast for today and nothing was going to stop my walk to the cliffs. A frosty start, icy roads and views of the stars promised a reasonable sunrise.

Walking up Cliff Lane, a clear "Belt of Venus" further promised a great morning

There were some interesting cloud formations

Arriving on the cliffs, I noticed this wind turbine support vessel sheltering, again with interesting pre-sunrise cloud formations

At this time of year, the pre-sunrise colours are often more spectacular and last longer than the actual sunrise!

The actual sunrise, without light cloud cover lasts but a few moments, from its appearance to being very bright in the sky!

It was great to be outside, indeed, at one with all nature!

All images taken handheld with Sony RX10 mk4.

Please stay safe on your exercise walks and enjoy the nature around you.
