A Brief Camping Break in Suffolk - 24th - 27th June 2014

A brief three nights camping in Suffolk, based at the Cliffe House Campsite, Dunwich Heath, gave Heather and I great access to some excellent birds and of course many year ticks! We have not tent camped for ten years and felt like camping virgins as we pitched our new HiGear Aura 3 under rain threatening clouds. Luckily we pitched well as thirty minutes after pitching, we were confined to the cosiness of the tent for three hours as the heavens opened!

The weather slowly improved allowing us to experience some excellent sunsets on Dunwich Heath while listening to and watching Nightjars.






Our journey started at Weeting Heath (see previous post) and included Dunwich Heath and Minsmere RSPB. TO BE CONTINUED! Below are the birds seen:
