Brown Booby, South Gare, Cleveland - 17th September 2023

We just happened to be passing nearby! Well under the circumstances it had to be done! So, off to the desolation that is South Gare! We were pleased to see this life tick quite close, on the pilot's pier. We mused at the "big lens" photographers vying for positions as close to the bird as possible! Indeed, I felt very inadequate standing back with my little Sony. Record images of a life tick are acceptable to me! During our time the bird was perched, but then took to flight around the area, before plunge diving. All great to see. It was also good to obtain some "environmental" shots.

All images taken with Sony RX10 Mk4.

Thank you for looking.
