Long Eared Owl, Flamborough - 2nd August 2019
Long Eared Owls are renowned as difficult birds to locate and see but very occasionally, they show very well! Today was one of those occasions! Walking the dog on the headland, I headed down the locally know, overgrown path known as "motorway path", with very little showing. Then, pure magic! Perched on a fence post was a Long Eared Owl! My first ever photograph, my best ever view, what could be better?
