Filey Dams and East Lea - 6th August 2019

Spoonbill, Filey Dams

A short visit to Filey Dams and East Lea this morning with Heather who really wanted to see the Spoonbill. On last weeks visit it did not show and this morning it was distant and initially asleep, but eventually stirred!

Preening Corner!

The Barnacle Goose was also present

And who could resist the "Cute Coots"?

And finally at the Dams, Dabchick

With no obvious waders at the Dams, we took a trip around to East Lea, which more than made up for it! Greenshank (1), Little Ringed Plover (2), Green Sandpiper (4), Dunlin (3), Redhank (1) and Lapwing (20+). Most of these remained on the far side!
