Bempton Cliffs Sunrise Walk - 13th November 2024

It has been a while since I have ventured up on to Bempton Cliffs so, with a promising forecast, this was our destination in order to capture the sunrise, Again, as often happens, a thick cloud base covered the eastern horizon. The best I could hope for was a "secondary" sunrise, above the clouds, but this means the sun being a tad bright! Still, just being out in the great outdoors was therapy in itself.

Grandstand Viewpoint, Bempton Cliffs.

"Goodbye my friend, it's hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky...
We had joy, we had fun
We had seasons in the sun... [and rain, wind, hail, snow!]"
(Seasons in the Sun, Terry Jacks, 1974).

Let's hope the replacement is ready for the 2025 breeding season.

Thank you for looking.
