Beaver Moon over Bempton - 14th November 2024

When I went to bed last evening, I had given up any hope of seeing the full Beaver Moon. The cloud cover was far too thick. However, I woke at just before 0500hrs and a bright light could be seen through the curtains! A quick peek and there it was in all its glory! Technically, for the purists, it was now 99.7% waning gibbous, but I'll take that.

Full Beaver Moon at 0500hrs

The Moon remained visible during my sunrise walk, (another blog post), and with increasing cloud cover, became more "atmospheric"!

As the sun started to rise, the moon was surrounded by coloured clouds

Thank you for looking.
