Tophill Low - 11th May 2023

A dull start to the day but brightening and very mild. A good day to be out in the great outdoors, and for me. today, that was Tophill Low. Arrived early and headed off around the south side. Generally it was very quiet, wildlife wise and I only met one person! I'm not really a hide dweller, preferring to wander after giving each hide view a gander. Likewise, I'm not an obsessive birder or photographer, seeing what I see when I see it. I suppose I don't really know what I am!😇. Only two year ticks of Common Terns (2) and Cuckoos (2) calling.

Couldn't resist this view in on the approach road

Oystercatcher Chick

Willow Warbler

Sedge Warbler

Common Terns

Marsh Harrier

Long Tailed Tit

Black Headed Gull - actually got airborne (briefly) before dropping!

Mute Swan

Dunnock (If you are bored, google "sex life of Dunnocks!)

Roe Deer

Walking through the woods the smell of Ramsons (Wild Garlick) was a delight!

Thank you for looking.
