Bempton Cliffs Walk (Wildlife) - 16th May 2023

Puffin

My first visit to the cliffs for a week or so, Cliff Lane, Blakehowe Lane, permissive path over Metlands, Bempton Cliffs and back down Cliff Lane. A pleasant morning, bright, hazy sunshine and quite mild, until reaching the cliffs, whereby the north westerly did its best to cool things down! A male Red Backed Shrike had been seen yesterday on the permissive path and happy to say it was still present this morning, flighty, but I managed some record shots!

Surprise of the morning was a group of eight Mute Swans and one Whooper Swan over Metlands
