Little Stint, Thornwick Pool, Flamborough - 29th May 2023

Another Bank Holiday! How many do they need? Sat in my pseudo-cave, a message arrived stating a Little Stint was present at Thornwick Pool. Recently, I had seen a Temminck's Stint at the same location. Several unusual (for me) happenings followed! I came out of my pseudo-cave mid morning and headed to Thornwick. I questioned my sanity while tackling the very busy roads with traffic chaos everywhere. Arriving at Thornwick Pool, the car park was nearly full, thankfully most of the owners were at the fishing pool, and only one person was in the bird hide. It took me a while to get on the Little Stint, at first distant but eventually moving closer. I had my Sony RX10 with me, but also took my Canon 7D mk2 and 400mm prime lens, which I used to photograph the Stint. Problem was, that I had not used it for quite a while and had forgotten a lot of how it worked! Any way, these are my images. I did not stop long and re-joined the constant traffic flows on the narrow local roads, heading back into my pseudo-cave!

OMG! Not just a bank holiday but it is also schools half term, how will I cope?

Thank you for looking.
