Bempton Cliffs Walk (Wildlife) - 18th November 2022

Ring Tail Hen Harrier

Yesterday was an awful day with continuous rain and strong wind, so I hoped that this morning would be better, at least dry. A very dull start to the day and yes, rain! It did eventually blow through enabling a much later than hoped for walk to the cliffs. Varying degrees of dullness, a few bright intervals, a few more showers, I suppose typical of late autumn. Still time for two year ticks with a distant Ring Tail Hen Harrier and a Woodcock over the arable area. Still a few Gannets passing through. Most of my walk was in company of Blackbirds, scores of them! Many more being reported along the east coast!
