Aspects of Bridlington Harbour & Bay (Wildlife) - 19th November 2022

Purple Sandpiper

A very challenging day! Arrived at the market to set up in pouring rain, but an area of brightness over the sea took its time to arrive and a pleasant day was had. Several wanders around the harbour looking for wildlife. With the strong wind and lumpy sea, I thought there might be more sheltering in the relative calm of the harbour.

I spotted a year tick in the form of a Little Auk, but not within photographic distance. By the time I got closer, so had a Great Black Backed Gull that proceeded to eat the Auk 😢
