Thornwick Pool, Flamborough - 13th September 2022

Little Stint

Thornwick Pool, Flamborough can sometimes be a little like watching paint dry, or it can be a little more exciting! A couple of hours this morning was a little more exciting! Stars of the show were Little Stint (year tick), a very elusive Garganey and my first Kingfisher for the pool. Also present were Dunlin, Tufted Duck, Teal, Wigeon and Common Snipe, plus of course, the commoner water birds.
