A Walk to Bempton Cliffs - 1st July 2021

Puffin

You may have heard and even have seen that a Black-browed Albatross has been in residence on and around Bempton Cliffs. I'm sorry, but I have no images of the rare visitor, but I did manage to see it at a distance last evening. Unfortunately, I was engaged elsewhere when it was showing well!

Today, I wandered up to the cliffs, with Symphony, in order to meet up with Di Stone, a birding friend from the midlands and had a good catch-up. We hoped to see the Albatross but it had other ideas and failed to show. The cliffs were alive with the breeding seabirds and wind conditions were just right for some birds in flight photography.

Puffin

Kittiwake

Razorbill

Gannet

Guillemot

Kestrel

You could say that Puffins showed well!

And some of the Gannets were in a "playful" mood!

All images taken handheld with Canon 7D Mk2 and 400mm 5.6 prime lens.
