Sunrise Walk to Bempton Cliffs - 12th November 2020

My plans for a cracking sunrise this morning was thwarted by nature! Everything looked good when I left the house for the cliffs in darkness. Symphony, however, was not impressed! The sky was an icy blue and the Moon and Venus were showing quite well, just a pity my photographic skills could not do them justice!

During the one mile walk to the cliffs, it was getting darker rather than lighter due to a large, thick cloud base forming over the sea. This was not good and I uttered a few choice words! Still, we continued, determined to make the most of natures offering. I decided to head up to Bartlett Nab in order to gain a different outlook, should the sunrise come good. Hmmm! It didn't really, but what was seen was in its own right atmospheric! Big, wild sky and big, open sea.
