Bempton Cliffs - 9th October 2020

An early morning walk to Bempton Cliffs this morning had the promise of a good day. However, cloud was massing and it soon created a rather dull grey morning with rain soon beginning to fall. I cannot help but wonder if weather forecasters are paid! Any way, making the most of my lot, I did have a period just post sunrise when a golden glow presented the opportunity for a few images. Using my new Sony RX10, I am getting confident with landscapes, but I am struggling with wildlife. The settings on the camera are, to say the least, confusing!

The golden hour

Wildlife presented as rather sparse this morning, maybe due to a clear out of migrants or me being rather cr*p at seeing things! Thank goodness for the Gannets!

Gannet Life

Now, it takes Gannets five years to mature and be ready to breed. I'm sure this three year old Gannet is not a parent of the Guga!

I took the following images of these Herring Gulls mainly because I liked the setting!

Any comments, hints or tips are very, very welcome! Thank you.

'till next time...
