Grey Heron - Open Air Theatre

The weather was rather mixed with threatening clouds, sunny spells, light rain, light hail and a cold easterly wind. A quick look at the harbour revealed a summer plumaged Great Crested Grebe about to enjoy breakfast!

And several Cormorants, this one showing breeding plumage

On to Johnsons Marsh with nothing out of the ordinary and Scalby Mills where drainage work continues and very little close in as a result! The open air theatre was a little more interesting with Grey Heron

Near the railway bridge, a glimpse of the Water Rail was all I could manage, while above me two Marsh Tits moved through and several Chiffchaffs called. Two Coal Tits were near the splash pool.

Peasholm Park was like watching paint dry although two ladies attempted to engage me in a conversation about God! A hasty retreat was order of the moment!

My biggest question is Where are the birds? Certainly not where I go!
