Black Tailed Godwit
YWT Filey Dams is producing some good birds of late, so with Heather being at RSPB Bempton Cliffs, I decided to spend a couple of hours in the hides and was not disappointed! Waders seem to be enjoying the low water levels with Greenshank (year tick), Black Tailed Godwit, Spotted Redshank, Redshank, Green Sandpiper, Dunlin and Ruff. I heard that earlier in the morning, a Sparrowhawk had despatched a Green Sandpiper! When I opened the hide flaps on the big hide, I saw a juvenile Redshank on the mud, but before I could sit down, warning calls and the Sparrowhawk was in hot pursuit of it! I do not know if the Redshank managed to get away as the two birds were lost to view. A few Swifts were also over the Dams.

The Filey Dams "Swamp Monster" attempts to take this Spotted Redshank, but thankfully it survives!
"Restful" observation!

Ever watchful, Carrion Crow
Relaxation!
