Thornwick Pool, Flamborough

Curlew Sandpiper

A very pleasant hour was spent this afternoon at Thornwick Pool, Flamborough which is attracting some quality birds. A two year tick with two Curlew Sandpipers, Little Stint, Ringed Plover, Dunlins and Greenshank!

Curlew Sandpiper

Always a pleasure to see, even if briefly - Little Stint!

Dunlin showing well!

I wonder if this Greenshank was pulled through a hedge backwards before coming to the pool to bathe?!

I just couldn't get this Ringed Plover right!

and Pied Wagtail
