RSPB Bempton Cliffs - Gannets and Gugas (plus some landscape)
After a night of very heavy rain, this morning dawned sunny and warm which lasted all day. It was a good morning for a walk and I decided on a four mile circular route encompassing scrub, farmland and cliffs. I walked from our house, through Buckton, up Hoddy Cows Lane to Buckton Cliffs, along Bempton Cliffs and down Cliff Lane back to Bempton. Encouragingly, I was receiving texts from a birder already on Hoddy Cows but alas, although close, I failed to see most of the species reported! Off to Specsavers I think! I did find a Redstart in the Dell and a Wheatear on Buckton Cliffs, both distant and ended up enjoying and photographing Gannets and Gugas! A little bit of landscape was also undertaken from Bartlett Nab viewpoint.

Look who's still on the ledge - my Gannet family at Bartlett Nab, can't be much longer!
And of course the first time, late breeders
