Juvenile Kittiwake
A lovely day to spend volunteering on the cliffs, great views, nice people and some good birds! The cliffs are now beginning to look partly naked due to the departure of most of the Auks. From Grandstand only a couple of Razorbills and Guillemots but still a good number of Puffins. The Razorbills and Guillemots have returned to the sea with their "jumplings", but a pair plus "jumpling" was reported near Bartlett Nab! Although Puffins are still present - on the cliffs, in flight and on the sea, they will soon be back out on the sea for their feather moult. Many visitors were in awe of the excellent views the remaining birds provided.

Of course, I had to visit Bartlett Nab to see "my" Gannets with chick that I have been following! Wow! It is growing well and is probably c10/11wks old! Despite being of a young age, the Gannet chick has already entered into gainful employment - testing Donald Trumps hair pieces!
Kittiwakes are very pretty birds but at this time of year the juveniles are even more impressive!

The "Boys are back in town"! Gannets
Herring Gull
The Cheeky and ever present Jackdaw!
Great Skua with Kittiwake lunch!
Excellent Kevin, wonderful Puffin pics, real treat! Updated in grand style, thanks!
