Sea Fret
Today I found myself volunteering at RSPB Bempton Cliffs on New Rollup viewpoint. The day began with a troublesome sea fret, meaning that visibility was dramatically reduced and on occasions you could not see the sea! It did however, provide some atmospheric images looking across to Staple Newk.
Out of the sea fret came
My best bird today was a year tick of Short Eared Owl, quartering the fields at the back of New Rollup but I missed the Marsh Harrier over the visitor centre car park. The morning sea fret turned into a sea haze in the afternoon making images rather challenging!
I wonder why the Kittiwakes rapidly evacuated the cliffs?
