Paxton Pits, Cambridgeshire.

Nightingale

"A Nightingale sang in......." Well, we heard four this morning at Paxton Pits, but actually seeing one was a challenge in itself! This was our third attempt at getting to Paxton, the first was called off due to heavy rain, the second due to fog and the success of today was far from perfect, with dull, dark and damp being the polite descriptive words! However, due to a great effort by Symphony and Heather, ("On the dog walk...") a Nightingale was located, and with due regard to the sensitivity of this species, record shots were obtained from a distance, of which I was more then pleased!
