Northumberland, Farne Islands, The Puffin - 14th May 2014

Puffin

The main reason for a break in Northumberland at Seahouses, has to be a visit (or several!) over to the Farne Islands. Couple this with the fact that I won a competition on Facebook, the prize being a trip for two with Andrew Douglas on his boat Serenity II. Andrew is a Facebook friend, a fellow blogger, a very knowledgeable skipper. His blog is an excellent read The Farne Islands and details of sailings can be found at Serenity Boat Tours. Taking the 1215 boat out to Inner Farne, the tour also incorporated an around the islands tour making the experience three hours long with a one hour visit to Inner Farne. Puffins have to be a firm favourite!
