Northumberland, Farne Islands, Arctic & Sandwich Terns - 14th May 2014

Arctic Tern

Inner Farne can be great fun running the gauntlet of Arctic Terns protecting their nest sites, eggs and young! This trip was a little too early to witness this phenomena, and the terns were mild mannered! It was funny to see a couple don "Bob the Builder hard hats" for nothing!
