A Morning of "Volatile" Light!, Bempton - 17th October 2023

Wow! What a start to the day! I had intended to walk up to the cliffs but the morning was dark, dull and drizzling, so decided to abort that plan. A little later, I looked out of the kitchen window, only to see a "volatile" light to the east. Grabbed my camera and rushed outside!

After a while, the light changed again as the sun started to emerge from the low clouds

Went back to the house and decided to take Symphony for a walk through Bempton & Buckton. The weather looked good. WRONG! Just as we headed to Buckton, a deluge of rain hit us and we were soaked before waterproofs could be donned. Symphony was not at all happy! Despite the rain, I was able to capture the rainbow that formed over Buckton

Despite being wet, we continued....meeting a couple that had been up Hoddy Cows Lane and only had a few spots of drizzle!

Conditions remained threatening for the remainder of our walk

That is, until we returned home, when blue sky and sunshine appeared! The joys of early morning photography!
