Bempton Cliffs Sunrise Walk - 10th June 2023

The sun has not been very prominent throughout the last few weeks and with the promise of a viewing today could not be missed. Up at 0300hrs, out at 0330hrs, on the cliffs by 0400hrs. However, my plan was nearly scuppered by cool, dull weather and a sea fret! I must admit that I considered returning home and going back to bed a number of times. I'm glad that we persevered and made the best of the early morning unfolding. The look on Symphony's face suggested that I was totally insane! I was amazed at how many people there were on the cliffs at 0400hrs!

Arriving on the cliffs the sea fret was still present so I turned my attention to the changing light conditions

Barn Owl

The sunrise and post sunrise

The best was well after sunrise as a golden ball appeared through the sea fret

Thank you for looking.
