Filey Dams - 26th June 2023

An early morning visit to Filey Dams on a bright morning but a cold wind blowing into the hides. We had hoped that the Spoonbill that arrived late last evening would still be present, but, alas, it was not. Oh well, Avocets it is then! It is so pleasing to see that the Avocets bred, laid four eggs and now have four chicks. Fingers were crossed that the water levels would remain low and that predation would be avoided. So far, so good!

Bempton & Buckton Walk - 25th June 2023

Barley

A tad late up this morning so didn't get out till c0730hrs, the time we would normally be getting home!  Already very warm, with blue sky and sunshine! The "zoo" would be unbearable, so I decided on a walk through the villages of Bempton and Buckton.

Hooray for the pollinators

The coolness of Green Lane

You'll remember me when the west wind moves Upon the fields of barley You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky As we walk in fields of gold

Aspects of Bridlington Harbour & Bay - 24th June 2023

Bridlington Coble "Gansey Lass"

A very warm start to the day with only passive cooling from what wind there was. A couple of wanders around the harbour this morning.
