Whilst Bempton is a fantastic and beautiful area in which to live, bird and photograph, just occasionally, you need to move away and see birds in a totally different habitat. Today was one of those days and we headed down towards Spurn for a spot of birding and walking around Kilnsea. Nothing spectacular on the birding front other than a few year ticks with Avocet, Little Egret, Little Tern, Whimbrel and a year / Yorkshire tick of Brent Goose! As well as the above, Heathers year list increased with Yellow Wagtail, Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler and Lesser Whitethroat. Symphony couldn't have cared less but no doubt her list of interesting smells increased!
We started off at Kilnsea wetlands before moving on to the triangle and finally ending up at Sammy's Point. All dog friendly but one day I will get down to Spurn Point where dogs are not allowed.
