Fieldfare Study - 6th January 2018

I certainly did not expect to touch base with my first Fieldfare of the year at Bridlington Harbour! A small area of grass and ornamental berry bushes gave this probable "in off" Fieldfare the sanctuary it needed to rest and feed. It seemed totally oblivious of busy footfall and people eating their fish and chips on seats less than a meter away! A great subject!

  1. Fieldfare is a bird that has eluded me. I have visited Britain several times in areas where it can be seen, but I have always been there at the wrong time of year.

  2. I find they are very shy birds and it is unusual to get them close.
