RSPB Bempton Cliffs "Something for Everyone" - 4th June 2017

Puffin outside it's nest tunnel

When the cliffs called this morning, it was sunny, blue skies and fresh, but the weather forecast suggested showers throughout the afternoon. Thankfully, the showers did not materialise and a fantastic late spring day was enjoyed. Everyone's favourite, the Puffin, showed well off all of the viewpoints and it cannot be long before the "Pufflings" hatch after a c40 day incubation period. Will we see the adult birds bringing sand eels and other small fish to the nests? We hope so and we hope visitors will take images of them for the RSPB Project Puffin campaign LINK. It is hoped that visitors will become "Puffarazzi" to assist a study of the feeding habits of these wonderful, but threatened birds.

Extreme Puffin sport - Triple Jump!

And even the Kittiwakes play games, in this case "Twister!"

A Fulmar with a lot to say!

Disadvantages of being on the lower ledges!

Despite the spectacular sight, sound and smell of c250,000 seabirds, the Bempton Cliffs vista's continue to wow!

Here we see the "foot (feet)" of Bempton Cliffs!

Time for coffee and cake?

A pleasant outlook!

And finally, todays sightings
