Bluethroat & Red Breasted Flycatcher @ RSPB Bempton Cliffs

Another good day at RSPB Bempton Cliffs, continuing with the good fortune of some excellent birds! The north easterly blow challenged clothing choices, compensated by blue skies and sunshine! The Red Breasted Flycatcher stayed loyal to the willows in the overflow car park near the pond and showed well (a second bird was reported later). Yellow Browed warblers, Goldcrests, Brambling and Chiffchaffs also showed well, but I missed the Firecrest. Song Thrushes and Redwings were present in good numbers. Near Bartlett Nab, the juvenile Bluethroat was very active on the cliff path, giving everyone good views. Marsh Harrier and Short Eared Owl were mobbed by corvids over the derelict RAF Bempton listening station. Near Jubilee Corner a Ring Ouzel was reported with a Wheatear near New Rollup. Reports also indicated two Richards Pipits on site!
