Hornsea Mere - 28th June 2015

Mute Swan

Another location that I hadn't previously visited was Hornsea Mere. Unfortunately, access seemed quite limited and restricted to the commercial town end of the Mere. As soon as the car was parked, I felt like the Pied Piper of Hornsea, being followed by hundreds of geese!

Swan Lake!

The Mere is reputed to have excellent Gull roosts, especially Little Gull, with numbers in excess of 180 being reported! Not while I was there though! With little about I turned to the Swans!

Black Swan

Grace and Power!
