"Happy Families" at Draycote Water - 2nd July 2014

Mallard

Ian and I did not really expect to find anything "special" at Draycote Water this morning so were not too disappointed when we didn't! Arriving just after 0700hrs, it was cool but warming rapidly which continued to "very hot"! I do not really do hot and was pleased to be travelling "light" choosing to use my 400mm prime lens! A list of sightings for today can be found at the end of this post but my concentration was taken with the many family groups of various species.

Great Crested Grebe Family (and a LARGE meal!)
