Peacock Butterfly
Another early start this morning, heading for pastures new - Summer Leys LNR near Wellingborough, Northants. Last Saturday, I visited briefly, but it was very busy and no car parking spaces! I was determined to go back and have a good look around, so it was at 0600 that I arrived and enjoyed having the reserve to myself! The reserve is very pleasant, moreso in the sunshine, with four hides and about a two mile walk.
Nothing exceptional about but it was just a pleasure to wander "lonely as a cloud" and attempt to obtain some images. A full list of sightings can be found at the end of this post.
Black Headed Gull
