North Yorkshire Moors - 18th October 2019

Red Grouse

It has been well over 18months since we last headed up on to the North Yorkshire Moors so a day out was called for. The weather was forecast to be cloudy and dull with the possibility of some rain but that did not deter us and apart from some low cloud and mist at the highest points, it was a good day.

We had not seen Red Grouse this year so a visit to Rosedale Bank and Chimney (doesn't exist!) was ideal and the Red Grouse didn't disappoint.

The views are stunning

And the locals were inquisitive but friendly!

There was time for a cute moment!

Dippers and Kingfisher were spotted but didn't want to be photographed! At least this Grey Wagtail was more obliging!

In all, an enjoyable day out.
