"BITZA" Hour at RSPB Bempton Cliffs!

Puffin

The sun was shining and the sky was blue so I popped up to the cliffs for an hour, just to see what was still about. Pleasingly, all of the Bempton Eight breeding birds were still present (Puffin, Guillemot, Razorbill, Gannet, Fulmar, Kittiwake, Shag and Herring Gull). Photography wise, it was a "BITZA" hour, you know, BITZA this and BITZA that! Confession time - I am a complete idiot! I think the sunshine got to my brain! I took some earth shattering Gannet images, real stonkers! Now, for some reason, I dialled in positive compensation rather than negative, resulting in completely blown out whites both on the Gannets and of course, the chalk! What is more, I also ignored the warnings so over 100 (fantastic) images consigned to the delete button. Form an orderly queue to kick my butt! Anyway, we live and learn and take some hard knocks, so back to my BITZA images!

Razorbill

On these ledges, two's company but three is definitely a crowd!

Something to Crow Puffin about!

Guillemots - That itch! Up  bit, down a bit, yes that's it, just there ooooo bliss!

I'm sure this is not the nest I used last year!

"I've told you Guillemots before - shut the f*ck up while I'm trying to sleep!"
