Red Throated Diver
Another wet, windy and woeful day saw us in Scarborough this morning! The reason for our trip was to prove rather expensive! The car was due its service and needed some faults rectifying and the nearest Citroen dealer was in Scarborough. Luckily (premonition?) I had booked a courtesy car which provided shelter while deciding our morning. The service went well, one of two faults was rectified but a part needed ordering so another trip soon! This was the woeful bit on receiving the bill! A very hearty breakfast was had on North Marine Drive before taking advantage of the free parking nearer the town! Waterproofs were donned and we started off around the harbour looking for year ticks. The wet, windy and very gloomy weather did not bode well for photography and called for a very high ISO of 1000+. The first bird of note was a Red Throated Diver in the harbour mouth. These images are in colour, HONEST!
