Slimbridge WWT (Part 4) Here Come the Cranes! - 25th January 2015
I last ticked Common Crane back in 2012, so I was keen to touch base with this fantastic bird. I was not to be disappointed, with seven magnificent Cranes on the Tack Piece! Their bugle like calls are so atmospheric and raised the spirits on a darkening day.

Bewicks Swan
An excellent day was spent at Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) in the company of members of the RSPB Coventry & Warwickshire group. It was my first "birding" visit to this excellent reserve, previous visits were more concentrated on the "captive" area, when Abigail was still in her pushchair! I was well impressed with the "wild" areas, amassing sixty four bird species with c twenty year ticks!

Couldn't resist these Scaup, but unable to tick!
