Redwing Fest - Newbold Road, Rugby
On my way home from the tip, I had a look at the berry trees on Newbold Road, Rugby, that have been known to attract a Waxwing or two! My attention was drawn to a large number of birds, around 100, flying down to the berries and then back to the tall trees. It was too good an opportunity to pass by, so I found somewhere to park and watched. The birds were Redwings and they were making a good effort to strip the berries. A very pleasurable hour was spent watching and photographing them. Enjoy the following Redwing Fest! Alas, no Waxwings (yet!).
