Stratford Butterfly Farm for a Macro Virgin!

What a grotty day for any outdoor activities, so it was good that I had arranged to meet up with local photographer Matt Hancox at Stratford Butterfly Farm for my introduction to macro photography. I've been toying with doing a bit of macro and was keen to try out a Tamron 90mm 2.8 lens. It took a good 30 minutes to acclimatise our equipment to the humid conditions and then it was off to capture our prey!

Any comments are welcome but please remember that I am a macro virgin so on a steep learning curve. My first learning point is to get a good hotshoe flash!
