  1. Hi Kevin,
as a suggestion, maybe you could open a new blog for 2013 and use this one as your archive? Or vice versa? These things are sent to try us!
    Best wishes

  2. Thanks Paul & Anna - still giving it thought! A new blog is in my thoughts but need time to sort it all out. Meanwhile, i'll keep the website and flickr going and maybe just place narrative and a link on here.

  3. Great set of great birds Kevin.

Good idea by Paul and Anna.
I don't know what file size you post on here, but I post pictures under 200KB. Doesn't use so much storage space on Google, and yet still look on the net.

  4. Cheers Keith. Tried setting up a new blog but when I tried to load images, it said NO! Most of my images are greatly reduced in size. Time is not on my side at the moment so I will probably use the blog for narrative and link to my zenfolio website.

  5. Hi Kevin, If you reduce all of your photos to no more than 800 pixels wide you won't use up any of your storage allowance. By that I mean you need to reduce them not crop them. I use a free resizer. When I started my blog I found I had used 19% of my storage in the first year. By reducing to 800 pixels wide I haven't used any space at all since. Hope that will help.

Your latest post which appears on my sidebar isn't accessible for some reason.

  6. So sorry, I meant to also say I enjoyed all your recent photos especially the Nuthatch. I was also very sorry to read of the loss of your Mother.

  7. Hi Jan - thanks for your comments.I will try the sizing, most of my images are 900 so will try 800. The reason you cannot access the post is that I tried to start a new blog which I then deleted.

  8. Hi Jan - it works! I've just added a Waxwing to this post at 800 pixels and it loaded!

Your thoughts about Mum are appreciated. Thank you.

  9. So glad to have helped :-) I have known some bloggers to delete all of their photos because they didn't know they could do this, such a shame after all their hard work.

I'm very envious of your lovely Waxwing photos after spending several days last week trying to find a small, local flock here...with no success!
